DECISIÓN ENTRE LA VIDA Y LAS LEYES

Decisión entre vivir o morir por creencias en una religión, esto vivió un joven de 17 años, que padecía leucemia el cual fue criado en una familia donde su religión es testigos de Jehová, el joven no tenía mucho tiempo de vida y uno de los últimos recursos de la medicina para salvarlo era una transfusión de sangre, pero sus padres y su religión no lo permitían, el hospital pone una demanda a sus padres para poder salvar al joven haciendo una transfusión de sangre.

Los padres estaban sujetos a la fe y a sus creencias, una de sus creencias es que la sangre es sagrada y solo Dios es dueño de esta, entonces esto no le permitía al joven hacer la transfusión porque sería mal visto en su religión, una de las personas que está en la corte, argumenta al médico que este procedimiento tiene riesgos de contraer otra enfermedad, el padre del joven sigue argumentando que la sangre es la esencia de la vida, es un regalo y se debería estar agradecido, la vida es sagrada igual que la sangre, mezclar la sangre es rechazar el regalo de Dios, y sujeta sus palabras diciendo que lo prohíbe el Génesis, Levítico y Hechos.

El joven estaba adoctrinado en esta religión por lo cual su decisión era morir, no quería recibir el tratamiento de transfusión, conociendo los riesgos que corría si le hacían otro tipo de tratamiento, podía quedar con una enfermedad por el resto de su vida.

El medico en la corte solicita que les autoricen hacer el procedimiento en el joven para evitar que muera, argumenta con la salud del joven diciendo que sus niveles son muy bajos del nivel en el que deberían estar, dice que de no hacer este procedimiento el joven sufrirá hasta morir, además de que el joven tiene derecho a la vida.

La juez en su decisión dice que la salud del menor es la principal preocupación del tribunal debido a la ley, considera que las personas que las personas que rodean al joven no han tomado una buena decisión para su vida, la juez dice una gran frase “SU VIDA ES MAS VALIOSA QUE SU DIGNIDAD” luego de esto la juez ordena al hospital hacer la transfusión al joven.

¿La decisión de la juez fue acertada?, pasando por encima de la decisión del joven y de sus padres, es una decisión muy dividida ya que la juez siguió las leyes, pero para los fieles de esta religión está mal visto, los padres estaban dispuestos a dejar morir a su hijo ya que si el moría iría a estar con Dios, ella no podía dejar morir a un joven cuando se tenía la posibilidad de ayudarlo, la juez trabaja bajo unas leyes que debe cumplir, y defender los derechos fundamentales, uno de ellos, la vida.

DECISION BETWEEN LIFE AND LAWS

The young man was indoctrinated in this religion for which his decision was to die, he did not want to receive transfusion treatment, knowing the risks he would run if they did another type of treatment, could be with an illness for the rest of his life.

The doctor in the court requests that they authorize the procedure in the young man to prevent him from dying, he argues with the young man's health saying that his levels are very low from the level at which they should be, says that if the young person does not do this procedure he will suffer until he dies, in addition to the fact that the young man has the right to life.

The judge in his decision says that the health of the child is the main concern of the court because of the law, considers that the people who surround the young person have not made a good decision for their life, the judge says a great phrase " YOUR LIFE IS MORE VALUABLE THAN YOUR DIGNITY "after this the judge orders the hospital to make the transfusion to the young man.

The decision of the judge was right ?, Going over the decision of the young man and his parents, is a very divided decision since the judge followed the laws, but for the faithful of this religion is frowned upon, the parents were willing to let her son die because if he died he would go to be with God, she could not let a young man die when he had the possibility of helping him, the judge works under laws that he must fulfill, and defend the fundamental rights one of them, life
